Leadership VALUES: Values help define & create the desired culture people experience at the School of Ministry.

1. Jesus 1st = We have a growing personal relationship with Jesus where we worship Him through SOAP, Praying for others, faithfully serving, and consistently giving. He gets the best/first of our lives. 

 

2. Passion = We’re fired up about the people and vision of Hope City! We live it—not just when we’re “on the job,” but all the time. We love it—our joy for Jesus and His church is contagious. We get it---we’ll do whatever it takes to get the job done. 

 

3. Together = We love each other—deeply. Leadership is about lifting others to greatness by empowering them to accomplish much bigger things for God. DIY is for home improvement—we do everything as a team. 

 

4. Excellence = We have thorough work ethic. We value our environments by picking up trash & keeping things tidy. We follow through on tasks. We value others & ourselves by dressing appropriately. We’re creating a place people will love so that they can experience a loving God. Everything matters! 

 

5. Teachability = We’re always growing and learning. We want to get better. We invite and receive feedback well. We’re willing to relearn things we think we already know. We seek out coaching and input. Humility is our goal. 

 

6. Attractional = We’re easily approachable and a joy to be around. We lift people up instead of leaning on them emotionally. We’re inviting and inclusive—everyone is attracted to a smile.
