Armed with a passion for teaching and working with at-risk youth, Pastor Cooper embarked upon a vocational pathway that led him to work as an Alternative Education Instructor in the Duval County public school system and later as a Junior High School Band Director. While matriculating through UNF, he met the love of his life, an aspiring accountant - Mona Colette McCullough in 1986. On June 3, 1989 they married and to their union was born a son, Andre' Carlos II, on March 7, 1995. During this season a deep concern, care and passion for the welfare of young people and adults was birthed in the Coopers. In conjunction with this passion they moved from Jacksonville to Denver, Colorado to oversee the Youth Ministry of a large multi-cultural church.
In 1994, the Coopers returned to Florida by the direction of the Lord and attended Faith Christian Center Jacksonville. In 1998 they became members and joined the Ministerial Staff in December 1999. A graduate of Word of Faith Bible Training Center Southeast in 2004, Pastor Cooper served as a Staff Minister & Assistant Pastor from 1999 until August 2007 when he and Minister Mona were sent out by Bishop George & Pastor April Davis to pioneer Faith Christian Center - Tallahassee. On Sunday, August 19th the inaugural service was held at Tallahassee Community College and on Sunday, April 20, 2014, FCC officially became IMPACT Church of Tallahassee!
Pastor Andre' Cooper's love for ministering to God's people is only surpassed by his love for God and love for his family. The vision and passion of the Coopers can be summarized in the phrase "Making a Difference". Their desire and heart is to impact the collegiate, governmental and domestic bodies in the Tallahassee area by Reaching the Lost, Equipping the Believer, Strengthening the Family, through Teaching the Word of Faith. By accomplishing this four-tiered goal, they believe that this "Difference" will be realized by all that they reach and ultimately help the residents of Tallahassee to realize that with Jesus, they are "Destined for the Good Life".
